The Sausalito Land and Ferry Company begun the work this morning of laying from seven to eight
thousand feet of two and three inch water pipes from Shanghai Gulch to the reservoir at Wild
Wood Glen. The gulch is above the railroad shops back of cemetery hill and it is said will prove
a better water supply than all the others. Six men and teams have been put to work on the line
already surveyed.
